The New Audio Object Dialog

The New Audio Object Dialog is invoked as a result of any
of the following actions:
|
| Audio File List | This list-box contains the names of source audio files for
which the new objects will be created. The displayed Spectrum and
NoteMap names apply only to the currently selected audio source file;
select different source files in the list to access and modify Spectrum
and NoteMap names for the different audio sources.
A selected file may be deleted from the list by pressing the Delete
button NOTE: This dialog can be resized to widen the file list. |
| Generate Audio Cache | To create an "Audio File" object, AudioExplorer analyzes the audio data and creates a cache file which allows it to very quickly display the audio waveform at any zoom level. When creating new objects from an existing AudioFile, this checkbox will be disabled. |
| Browse | Click this button to bring up a file-selection dialog and add new source audio files to the file list. |
| Generate Note Map | When checked, new Note Maps will be created for each of the selected audio files. |
| Note Map Name | Enter a unique name for the new Note Map created from the selected audio file. |
| Note Map Options | Invoke the Note Map Options Dialog to enter custom options for this Note Map batch. |
| Generate Spectral File | When checked, a Spectral File will be created. |
| Spectral File Name | Enter a unique name for the new Spectral File created from the selected audio file. |
| Spectral File Options | Invoke the Spectrum Options Dialog to customize spectrum generation. |
| Generate Frequency Map | When checked, a Frequency Map will be created. Since a Frequency Map is generated from a Spectral File, this option will be disabled unless a Spectral File either already exists or is scheduled for generation. |
| Frequency Map Name | Enter a unique name for the new Frequency Map created from the selected audio file. |
| Frequency Map Options | Invoke the Frequency Map Options Dialog to customize generation. |
| Discard Spectrum... | Since Spectral File's can occupy huge (yes, HUGE) amounts of disk space, it is often desirable to create a Frequency Map and then immediately discard the Spectral from which it was generated, thereby making space for more batch operations. |
| Ok | Close the dialog and begin creation of the selected AudioExplorer objects. |
| Cancel | Close the dialog and do nothing. |
