Settings in this dialog affect the handling of overtones by the NoteProcessor. For more information on this topic, see About the Note Processor.

| Overtone Processing
Overtones are everywhere in music, and can easily lead to "false positive" identification of played notes. To minimize this problem, the NoteProcessor can examine all of its note buffers (in order of increasing frequency), and for each "on" note found, merge it with other notes which are in its overtone series. These options tell the NoteProcessor which overtones to examine and which note of the overtone series to retain. For more information on this topic, see About the Note Processor.

| Overtones to Examine | Check the overtones that should be merged with either the fundamental note or the strongest overtone (see next option). |
| Lowest Frequency | When checked, the note in the overtone series with the lowest frequency (i.e., the fundamental) will be kept, and other notes in the series will be merged into this. |
| Strongest Signal | When checked, the note in the overtone series with the strongest signal will be retained, and other notes in the series will be merged into this. |
