AudioExplorer requires disk space for physical storage of its object files.  Files representing the AudioFile objects are relatively small (about 1/60th the size of the source WAV file).  Files representing Spectrum objects can be huge - 1GB or more.  Depending on the resolution with which they were generated, NoteMap files are typically tens of megabytes in size.  This dialog allows you to select the physical disk location where AudioExplorer will store its object files.

The Project Name is the name of the main project that appears at the top of the Project Tree.  AudioExplorer creates a subdirectory <ProjectName>.prj to represent this project.  Multiple main projects can exists simultaneously, but only one is accessible to AudioExplorer at any time.  To switch to another main project (and all objects and subprojects stored within it), enter its name in the Project Name field.

During batch generation of AudioExplorer objects, certain tasks - e.g., generation of two AudioFile objects from two different WAV audio files - can be efficiently performed simultaneously.  The Maximum # Active Tasks sets an upper limit for these simultaneous tasks.

Project Directory Enter a physical disk folder where AudioExplorer can store its data files.
Project Name: Enter the name of the main project which you want to use.
Maximum # Active Tasks Set an upper limit for the # of simultaneous tasks that AudioExplorer will allow during batch operations.
