| The Note Selection Dialog allows you to
select notes based on pitch, tonicity, membership in scales or
arpeggios, and or overtone relationships.

Note List

All currently selected notes are checked in this
list. Notes can be checked/unchecked by simply clicking on the
note. This dialog is resizable, and can be expanded to view a more
complete list of notes.
By right-clicking on this list, a context menu provides 4 more
commands:

Check all notes |
| Uncheck All |
Uncheck all notes |
| Invert Selection |
Check all currently unchecked notes, and uncheck
all currently checked notes. |
| Reset |
Reset to the selections present when the dialog
was first opened. |

Each of the note-selectors
described below works by:
- setting selection criteria
- check or uncheck Enforce Range. When the range is
"enforced", all selection criteria will be constrained to
the selected note range.
- pressing
to select notes matching the criteria, or
to deselect notes matching the criteria.

| Note Range |
Select notes within a defined pitch range. Select
the bottom note from the first drop-down list, and the top note from the
second drop-down list. Notes spanning this range (inclusive) will
be selected/deselected. |
| Key |
Select a key from the drop down. All same-named keys
will be selected/deselected. |
| Scales |
Select a tonality from the first drop down, and a modality
from the second drop-down. All notes in the selected scale-type
will be selected/deselected. |
| Chord |
Select a tonality from the first drop-down, and a
chord-type from the second drop down. All notes within this an
arpeggiation of this chord will be selected. |
| Overtones |
Using the currently selected note (i.e., the note which is
hilited in the note list) as the fundamental, select which overtones to
select/deselect. |
| OK |
Apply the current note selections and close the dialog. |
| Cancel |
Take no action and close the dialog. |
