The Note Map Window

The Note Map Window provides tools for customizing and fine-tuning the parameters used to generate a Note Map and for using this Note Map as a guide for generating a standard MIDI file.

The Note Map Window has three parts:

The Note-Selector

The Note-selector is a list of all 128 MIDI notes and their associated minimum, maximum, and mean signals found in the audio file from which the Note Map was derived.  Overall statistics (i.e., for all notes) are shown above the list.

The note list may be sorted on any of its columns by clicking on the column headers.

Selections made in the Note Selector are immediately reflected in the Note Ranging Panel and (perhaps after a brief pause while a new Note Map is generated) in the Dynamic Notemap Panel.

Pressing the "Select Notes" button will invoke the Note Selection Dialog, and selections made their will be applied to the Note Selector's list.

The Note Selector may hidden by pressing the hide button in its upper right corner.  The hidden selector can be redisplayed by pressing the unhide button at the upper left of the dynamic Note Map panel.
