The NoteMap is a dynamically-generated, high-resolution image of any or all of the notes occurring within a musical selection. |
|
| The Note Map Window provides
tools for customizing and fine-tuning the parameters used to generate a
Note Map and for using this Note Map as a guide for generating a
standard MIDI file. |
|
|
|
| Note-selector provides methods for selecting notes, groups of related notes, overtone series, chords, arpeggios, etc. |
A note map is dynamically generated based on the current settings and selections (e.g., notes, threshold, and ceiling). A MIDI interpretation of the
note map can be overlayed and edited. |
 |
| Signals corresponding to any notes at any time can be examined by
clicking on a region of the note-map.
This window provides methods for quickly examining the overtones related to a
note, and can be zoomed out to the duration of the entire audio file.
|
The Notemap Window’s lower panel displays the overall dynamics (minimum, maximum, and mean) of all 128 MIDI notes during the musical piece. This allows visualization of (and compensation for) trends in the overall frequency spectrum.
This panel provides tools for modifying the “envelope” - sets of thresholds and ceilings associated with each
note.
